This is just a reminder that IPSC BC has an upcoming Special General Meeting on April 7th at 7:00 PM. This will be an online meeting. We currently need a few more members to attend to ensure a quorum. If you are able to attend, please register using the link below and we will email out the details prior to the meeting.
In accordance with our constitution and bylaws, any items not presented and approved at the last AGM require that a General Special Meeting be called to seek approval of the membership.
We are calling a Special General Meeting on April 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM to discuss a proposed motion to amend the constitution regarding the election and motion submission process. This proposal has been submitted by Geoff Fraser and seconded by Mac Corrie.
Please note that pre-registration is required and you must be a member in good standing of IPSC BC to attend and vote.
We need a minimum of 35 members in good standing to attend the meeting in order to form a quorum or this motion cannot be presented.
At this time there is only one item on the agenda, so we aim to keep the meeting quick and concise.
A voting link will be sent to you with your confirmation, you will need to be logged in to your member account on the IPSC BC website in order to be able to vote.

Background information on the proposed changes
In my experience as the Elections Coordinator for the past several years, I would like to propose a new timeline for the election and motion submission periods as the current one was created with the consideration of mail-in ballots being used. As we have moved to online voting and motion submissions, we can tighten up the timeline and meet the deadlines that have been set out. The result of these changes is expected to reduce the workload on volunteers while still making sure that all members have time to participate in the election and voting process.
