Hi all,
You will have received an email from NROI Canada regarding range officials for the Nationals. Jim Smith is recruiting for the main match. I am looking for officials for July 27–28, 2026 for the pre-match. This is the shoot for the main match officials and others, not a test run.
Available spots are:
- 5 CROs
- 10 ROs
- 1 Stats Person
Unlike the main match, you could be on a team AND official the pre-match.
What I will be looking for:
- Experience in Level 3 matches as a RO/CRO/RM
- Experience as an official in multiple level 2 matches
- Must be available for July 27 & 28, 2026
- Have RO/CRO jersey
- If you are looking for experience for the RM program
Being a more recent official does not negate your opportunity, but you will need to be confident in your ability.
What I am offering:
- $400 stipend
- Lunch on the range both days, snacks/drinks etc.
This may sound odd but being a pre-match official does not guarantee a spot in the main match to shoot. Slots are allocated by IPSC Canada and opened up once teams are done. I have to wait until teams are fulfilled before opening slots for pre-match officials.
All selections are at the Match Director’s (me) discretion. You will be contacted if you are selected. There will be no back and forth for those not selected.

I will move on to other Provinces if BC can’t fill these by February.
