Welcome to May, well, not much of a welcome thanks to the current PHO still happening. As it stands we are still unable to hold any Level II matches, we are hoping to see things change for the end of the month but until then we can’t make any solid plans. Please see the match calendar to see which matches have been cancelled.
As previously mentioned Level 1 matches are allowed to be used for Black Badge completion, so long as they meet the requirements that we will be posting shortly. Essentially they must meet Level II criteria and include things like strong hand/weak hand, etc. Level 1s can be held under the PHO currently, remembering that you cannot travel outside your health zone to attend a Level 1. You will also be able to attend a short training session with a Black Badge instructor or approved CRO for recertification, more information on this will be available shortly as well. This will be at no cost to you. If you are a CRO and would like to be able to do this, you must apply to the board to do so, please email .TCI/CRO who do this will be reimbursed by IPSC BC $25 per student.
We are also extending the timeframe for BB completion that was passed last year, to the June meeting so we can see what the PHO is at that point and we can further decide on what we need to do with those who have not yet completed their BB or have time out due to not shooting matches. We stated that 2020 didn’t exist, but we now have students that are timing out soon even with that allowance.
