The Board of Directors of IPSC BC met tonight and made the hard decision to cancel several matches. The April and May matches at Poco, Terrace, Thompson and Trail are cancelled as per the Public Health Order (PHO) of the BC Provincial government. The link to the PHO and what it says about mass gatherings of 50 or more people can be found in my previous post. We will be leaving the registration information up on the match calendar should the pandemic subside and the PHO be rescinded. The BOD will continue to monitor the situation and the direction from the Provincial and Federal Governments and keep members informed with respect to IPSC BC activities during these challenging times.
This is a tough time for all of us, I know many people have lost jobs, or watched investments vanish as the market dives. It is completely uncharted territory and we can only respond as the challenges are presented to us. I hope you are all well, safe and secure. I’d normally try to throw a piece of humor into the post in a hope of lightening the mood, but I can’t. I hope to see you all out at the range soon, and we can all talk about this as having passed and maybe some good stories of things you did or saw during the lockdowns.
My best wishes to you all.
